Beginning June 1
The Suffragette Movement in Arkansas
The exciting new exhibit opens on June 1st with its focus on the Suffragette Movement in Arkansas and the 100th Year Anniversary of the Women’s Right to Vote. The exhibit reflects on the women that tirelessly worked on passing this legislation for nearly 40 years before the Federal Government recognized this as a basic right for women. There are wonderful artifacts, photographs and personal histories of the women in Arkansas and the nation that led this effort including Eureka Springs resident Eliza A. (Lizzie) Dorman Fyler.
